MORE HEALTH FOR BONES AND BLOOD VESSELS What is Vitamin K2 80mcg? Vitamin K is also called anti-hemorrhagic vitamin and longevity factor. Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is a natural form of vitamin K synthesized by bacteria. As a liposoluble vitamin, it is stored in the liver. Vitamin K2 is necessary for the proper utilization of resorbed calcium and its complete incorporation into the bones. Vitamin K2 prevents the formation of calcifications in blood vessels, cartilage and soft tissues, which mostly occur in people who continuously receive calcium and vitamin D3 supplements. Vitamin K2 simultaneously reduces calcium deposition in the blood system. Calcification in the blood increases the stiffness and fragility of the blood vessels, and sometimes interferes with the normal flow of blood to and from the heart. Action of Vitamin K2 80mcg Synergy Vitamin K2 is an extract of Japanese fermented Natto soybeans, which contains the highest amount of natural vitamin K2. It is known that calcium and vitamin D3 are necessary for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Research has shown that after entering the blood, calcium reaches the bones through circulation, and in order for them to open the "door", vitamin K2 is necessary. In the absence of vitamin K2, calcium will not be incorporated into the bones in the required amount regardless of the amount of calcium ingested. This phenomenon is called "calcium paradox", and the consequence of this phenomenon is inelastic blood vessels, which are prone to splashing and porous bones, which break easily. Vitamin K2 has the ability to activate osteocalcin, a protein that transports calcium and incorporates it into bones. Vitamin K2 also stimulates the matrix-gla protein, which like a sponge absorbs excess calcium in the circulation and eliminates it from the body. In this bound form, calcium is not deposited in the kidneys. If these vitamins are not "assisted" by vitamin K2, they will not bind calcium and transport it. That is why we say that vitamin K2 is necessary in maintaining the health of bones, but also of blood vessels. For a strong and healthy bone system, a synergy is necessary from: calcium - a mineral necessary for the growth and strengthening of bones, vitamin D3 - enables resorption of calcium from the intestines and vitamin K2 - for the complete incorporation of calcium into the bones. Vitamin K is also needed in the liver for the synthesis of the coagulation factor - prothrombin which helps and is part of the blood clotting cascade. The reason for the lack of vitamin K2 in the body can be the taking of antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (salicylates and others), or eating foods that naturally contain large amounts of salicylates. Certain diseases, such as colitis (chronic inflammation of the colon), candida infection, Crohn's disease, milder and more severe forms of celiac disease, can lead to a deficiency or disturbed calcium metabolism.
