Operil P0.25 mg/1 ml nasal drops are intended only for children from two to seven years of age. Operil P contains oxymetazoline, which is used as a nasal decongestant. By narrowing the arterioles, it reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa and secretion from the nose. In this way, breathing through the nose is facilitated, the nasal and paranasal cavities (sinuses) and the Eustachian tube are opened, and the accompanying symptoms of the cold are alleviated. Operil P begins to act after a few minutes, and its effect lasts up to 12 hours. Oxymetazoline also has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect. Operil P has an antiviral effect on certain viruses that mainly cause respiratory diseases. Operil P is used for: - acute sneezing during a cold, - sneezing due to allergies, - rhinosinusitis, - inflammation of the middle ear (otitis media), to improve the function of the Eustachian tube.
