Who is OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD suitable for? The primary function of antibiotics is to destroy disease-causing microorganisms. But unfortunately, antibiotics simultaneously destroy parts of the protective intestinal lining and damage the natural, healthy gut bacteria. In doing so, dangerous microorganisms and their toxins can multiply quickly and, among other things, lead to severe diarrhea, so-called antibiotic-related diarrhea. This imbalance in the gut can subsequently lead to diarrhea, so-called antibiotic-associated diarrhea. Antibiotic-associated diarrhea is indicated when a person has colic-like pain and abdominal cramps, or more than three bowel movements per day, and the stool is extremely soft to liquid, and the amount of stool is clearly increased. These complaints may appear immediately or only a few weeks after the first antibiotic is taken. Furthermore, whenever antibiotics are taken, the diversity of bacterial strains in our gut decreases. But a large diversity of gut bacteria is absolutely necessary for the gut to perform its diverse tasks (eg, breakdown, absorption and formation of nutrients, production of immune cells, energy supply) without limitation. Therefore, whenever you need to take antibiotics, support your gut with specially selected gut bacteria (eg OMNi-BiOTiC® 10 AAD)!
