Hepan gel is a dermatological preparation and is intended for local treatment of veins and lymphatic vessels. When sodium heparin is absorbed, it prevents blood clotting and thus protects against the formation of blood clots in blood vessels or eliminates existing ones. Hepan gel reduces inflammation and relieves pain and accelerates blood circulation in the affected area. The action of heparin sodium is complemented by dexpanthenol, a vitamin that is used locally to act as an epithelizer (softens the skin and accelerates its regeneration), thus reducing its irritation. Gel Hepan is used topically. It is applied to the skin with light rubbing so that it is well absorbed. Absorption is facilitated by evaporation of water from the gel on the surface of the skin, which increases the concentration of sodium heparin and dexpanthenol at the site of application and creates a pleasant cooling sensation. Hepan gel is used in diseased veins, thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, in treatment after removal of immobilization, in stretching, contusions and disorders. It can also be applied to hematomas. When applying Hepan gel, care must be taken not to get it on the eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds or on infected skin. It is applied to diseased veins, hematomas, thrombosis and thrombophlebitis without massaging. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply Hepan Gel with a light rub 2 to 4 times a day for 2 to 3 weeks. It is recommended to massage the feet from the bottom up. Fractures and sprains can be wrapped with an occlusive or elastic bandage. If there is no improvement within the prescribed time, the treatment should be stopped. Continued use should be supervised by a physician.
