Did you know…?

• Spelled is an old name for emmer. Cultivation of this type of grain supports the conservation of natural biodiversity in agriculture.
• When is pasta al dente? If you can still see a tiny white dot in the core when you bite into the pasta, it only takes a few seconds until the pasta is ready. This is usually just before the end of the cooking time.
• Use 1 liter of water for 100 g of pasta, which is brought to a boil in a large enough cooking pot. The water is salted and a little oil is added to prevent the flat, wide pasta from sticking together.
