Beetroot was probably introduced here by the Romans and in those days, beetroot came in a variety of shapes and colors - ball-shaped, cylinder-shaped or even elongated, and in white, yellow or bright red. People began to cultivate the distinctive red varieties of beets by the 19th century, with the region of Thurgau, Switzerland having a long history of beet cultivation. Numerous varieties of organic beets grow and thrive in the fertile soils around Lake Constance. Organic farmers from the region deliver the freshly harvested beets to our production site in Tagervilen. Here, this intensely red vegetable is gently and carefully processed to turn it into delicious BIOTTA beet juice. And when will the production end? All production facilities should be thoroughly cleaned. If you've ever handled beets, you'll know how much of a pain it is to wash your hands afterwards. But our pain is also your gain: with our BIOTTA beetroot juice, we've done all the hard work for you.
